Excursion “H” – Pura Gunung Kawi & Ubud
In Bali there are many beautiful temples dedicated to different deities or built for special needs (birth, life and death). One of the most beautiful temples (in our opinion) is the Hindu temple “Pura Gunung Kawi”, which dates back to the 10th century and is surrounded by picturesque nature. Rice fields surround this spacious temple complex and offer countless photo opportunities.
Pura Gunung Kawi is about 30 minutes from Ubud. This offers a connection of the temple visit and a visit (shopping or Monkey Forest) in Ubud.
I took countless pictures of this number. The nature around the area is beautiful and the temple itself is just as nice. Only the dealers on the way down to the temple were a bit intrusive.
You should expect about 2 hours to visit the temple complex. Afterwards either a shopping tour through Ubud or a visit to the big monkey forest (Monkey Forest) in Ubud. A beautiful facility in the middle of beautiful nature. However, those who are afraid of monkeys (they are already climbing on their backs) should not choose this tour. Then rather shopping!
