Excursion “I” – Gunung Kawi & Tegalalang Rice Terraces

Another beautiful temple is the scenic “Gunung Kawi” – NOT to be confused with Pura Gunung Kawi, which is only 3km from this temple but is an extra tour.

The Gunung Kawi is a very busy temple right on the road, which is picturesquely embedded between different water sources and small ponds.

As a tourist, you pay a minimum entry fee and then get a free sarong for the duration of the visit. This is simply placed in a provided vessel after the visit.

I felt the spiritual energy of this temple. The sacred springs and tranquility have also given me a kind of inner peace.

Then continue to the world famous rice terraces of Tegalalang. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Then you will surely need up to 3 hours to discover all possible paths and possibilities of the rice fields. Unfortunately, in recent years, commerce has increased greatly, so that the rice farmers often demand money if you want to enter their ways. So always nice change (10,000 or 20,000 rupiah) take, because no change from 50,000 or 100,000 Rupiah wants.
After the rice fields, it goes back to the villa (2 – 3 hours driving time, depending on traffic)
